Nursery Rhymes: Three Little Pigs

 

"The Three Little Pigs" is a fable about three pigs who build their houses of different materials. A Big Bad Wolf blows down the first two pigs' houses which are made of straw and sticks respectively, but is unable to destroy the third pig's house which is made of bricks. The Three Little Pigs is known as Fable. The printed version of this fable dates back to 1840, but the story is much older. This fable has many versions of it. 

An activity you could do with this fable would be to divide your students into groups they could do a play about what you just read to them. I know my Kinder and 1st-grade students love this.
