Sam suggests all different places to try this dish, but his friend keeps refusing. This would be an activity I would do with my students.

Historical Fiction: The Tower of Life

Image
B y Chana Stiefel, illustrated by Susan Gal.   Yaffa loved her family and her town in Poland, but when the Nazis invaded, her family escaped with nothing except a few photos. Later in her life, she was asked to build an exhibit for the US Holocaust Memorial Museum. She used her own photographs as inspiration and found other photos from her Jewish neighbors who used to live in Eishyshok , too. The photographs show life, family, love, and community. An activity I would do is have students capture their own life by bringing in pictures from their homes town or maybe where their grandparents came from.
